Balletbat at Pyramids Comic Con

This truly was, my very first breakthrough Comic Con

I had been invited as a ‘Special Guest’, by East Quay, Watchet in Somerset, to do an introduction, before the screening of ‘Batman ‘89’.

I was a ‘Special Guest’ for ‘Feel The Force Day’ at Peterborough Cathedral, which is the only fully inclusive and accessible film and television convention in the world.

Pyramids Comic Con was the real deal, and it was a weekend event. Held at the Pyramids Shopping Centre in Birkenhead and run in conjunction with Geeky Nerd Toys, That Geeky Place, 237 Signings and abstractharmony.

Eye-catching posters, had been and were displayed, all over the shopping centre for months. So thrilled to see my name, alongside Jeff East on the poster.

It was the perfect Double Bill and pairing – Batman and Superman. Jeff East was best known as the young Clark Kent, in the 1978 Superman movie. It was an absolute thrill to be a guest alongside him at Pyramids Comic Con. We had lots of fun, reminiscing and chatting over breakfast, back at the hotel.

What was so amazing, was the response from the fans. The attendance was fantastic over the two days. Their knowledge, love, and appreciation for my contribution to the movie was astounding. There was such a diverse range of visitors. I loved finally meeting the hardcore fans, who have been following me and supporting me for years. The young artists who took the time and came to see me. Everybody was an absolute joy. The event proved to be so successful and was an opportunity to sign lots of photographs and mementos, and take lots of selfies with fans.

The event was even more memorable, as there was time to visit Liverpool. Seeing filming locations from The Batman and attending The Beatles Story at Albert Dock was incredible.

I am ecstatic to report, that I will be returning for a Halloween convention, at Pyramids Comic Con.
